Following the signing of his new global recordings deal with BBR Music Group/MEG, Country music superstar Blake Shelton has made a triumphant return with the Wheelhouse Records label debut of his new single 'Texas' scoring the ‘most-added’ new song at Country radio with a career record 156 overall stations adding the anthemic track into their rotation.

Kicking off the next chapter of his storied career, and unlike anything he’s ever recorded, the anthemic new track was produced by Shelton’s longtime, award-winning producer Scott Hendricks.

Said Shelton, “The thing that struck me about ‘Texas’ immediately was how different it sounded for me, and I’m always looking to push myself. I think there’s something really special about this record, and it feels important to me.

“This is the perfect opportunity to come back with something so different, and it easily felt like it should be the first single. It’s connected with what I’ve done but moves forward at the same time, and it’s the perfect start to the next chapter of my career.”

Shelton's infectious new song finds a man left in the dust by a free-spirited woman who has no clue where she has gone but speculates, “she’s probably in Texas”. Putting a fresh twist on the age-old theme of lost love, drenched in classic Texas charm, with a gentle nod to George Strait, who knows best where all the exes go.
