JELLY ROLL LEADS MEG ARTISTS AND SONGWRITERS 2025 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS(图1)

The Recording Academy, joined by Grammy award-winners MEG artist Kylie Minogue, MEG songwriter Victoria Monét, and past honorees, have announced the nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards. MEG artists and songwriters had a strong showing, receiving 10 direct nominations while contributing to more than 40 additional nominated works across the General Field and nearly every genre, including Dance/Electronic, Rock and Metal, R&B and Rap, Country, and more.

Earning his fourth career Grammy nomination, Jelly Roll leads the MEG artist and songwriter nominations with his chart-topping single ‘I Am Not Okay’ scoring two nominations, including Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance from his Number One album Beautifully Broken.

Reigning Best Country Albumof the Year winner Lainey Wilson returned with a second consecutive nomination in the category for her latest critically acclaimed album release, Whirlwind.

Landing their second overall Grammy nomination, Spiritbox also returned to the Best MetalPerformance category with ‘Cellar Door’, from their latest EP, The Fear of Fear, released by Rise Records.

MEG songwriters are also celebrated across some of the most esteemed categories, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

The-Dream received the Album of the Year nomination for his work on Beyoncé’s record-breaking Number One album COWBOY CARTER, which he co-wrote ten of the album’s 27 tracks.

Grammy award-winning duo D’Mile and Bruno Mars continue their hot streak, receiving a nomination for Song of the Year for their global chart-topping single ‘Die With a Smile’. The two last won Song of the Year together in 2022.

Additionally, in publishing, MEG songwriters Jeff Gitelman and Kevin Theodore received a nomination for Best R&B Song with ‘Ruined Me’ (performed by Muni Long), and Nasir Pemberton (aka Digital Nas) received a nomination for Best Rap Song with ‘Carnival’ (performed by Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and ¥$).

Rounding out the list of nominations included Anoushka Shankar’s Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn for Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album and Pepe De Lucía and Paco De Lucía’s Pepito y Paquito for Best Historical Album.

The 67th Grammy Awards will take place Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+.
